About the role
We are looking for a senior Python full stack developer for a mining company operating in southern Peru. You will join the team building the internal operations platform: production reports per shift, equipment maintenance and integrations with sensors and plant systems.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain Python (FastAPI) APIs with solid testing and documentation.
- Build React interfaces for supervisors and operators, usable on tablets on site.
- Model data in PostgreSQL, optimise queries and protect production history integrity.
- Integrate external sources (sensors, SCADA, ERP) through queues and scheduled jobs.
- Take part in code reviews, container-based deployments and production monitoring.
Must-have requirements
- 5+ years in software development, 3+ with Python on the backend.
- Solid experience with FastAPI or Django REST, SQLAlchemy and PostgreSQL.
- React with TypeScript and state management; REST API consumption.
- Docker, Git and CI/CD; Linux basics and cloud deployment (AWS or Azure).
- Intermediate English (technical documentation and occasional vendor meetings).
Nice to have
- Industrial experience (mining, energy, manufacturing) or real-time sensor data.
- Kafka or RabbitMQ, Grafana, Kubernetes.
- Power BI or data visualisation.
