About the role

About the role

We are looking for a mid-level L2 Application Support Analyst, 100% remote from LATAM, for a major logistics company running ground transport and logistics operations in Peru, Chile, Ecuador and Bolivia.

You own user incidents end to end: diagnose them in the database and logs, fix data and apply minor code fixes. Anything larger is escalated to the development team with the diagnosis already done.

Responsibilities

The main goal is to resolve production incidents within SLA and reduce recurring ones.

  • Incident handling: attend incidents and requests from users in the four countries in ServiceNow and Jira, within the agreed times.
  • Root-cause analysis: reproduce in the STAGE environment, review logs in Grafana/Loki and query the database (SQL Server).
  • Data fixes: run controlled SQL scripts, tested first in non-production and applied to production through the change process.
  • Minor code fixes: adjustments in Java/Spring Boot, Angular and T-SQL stored procedures, including pull requests, tests and SonarQube analysis without introducing new issues.
  • Proactive monitoring: watch scheduled jobs and integrations with GPS, ERP, Kafka and email to catch failures before users do.
  • Effective escalation: escalate to development anything beyond a minor fix, with reproduction steps, evidence and probable cause.
  • Communication and documentation: explain resolutions to business users in plain language, document every case in the knowledge base and propose preventive improvements.
  • Release support: help validate releases in STAGE and verify after production deployments.

Must-have requirements

  • Experience: 3 to 5 years in L2/L3 application support or enterprise application development.
  • Advanced SQL Server: complex multi-join queries, stored procedures, views and transactional fix scripts.
  • Java with Spring Boot: read, debug and fix REST API code.
  • Frontend: Angular or TypeScript at a basic-to-intermediate level for web debugging.
  • Tools and process: Git (pull requests), SLA-driven ticketing (ServiceNow, Jira) and observability/log tools.
  • Education: degree in Systems, Software or Computer Engineering or a related field, or technical training with equivalent experience.

Nice to have

  • Previous experience in logistics, ground transport, warehousing or foreign trade (highly valued).
  • Kubernetes and containers (reviewing pods and logs).
  • CI/CD with GitHub Actions and code analysis with SonarQube.
  • Notions of Kafka, Azure Cosmos DB, Python (FastAPI) or API gateways (Apigee).
  • Integrations with GPS systems or ERPs (Microsoft Dynamics).
  • ITIL Foundation certification and basic technical English.

Personal skills

  • Ownership and follow-through: take each case through to final closure.
  • Care in production: test first, request approvals and document evidence.
  • Clear communication: convey technical information to business users in an understandable way.
  • Autonomy and organisation: self-organised for remote, distributed teams.

Terms

  • Engagement: hired through Code Society, 100% remote from any LATAM country.
  • Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00 to 18:00 Lima time (UTC-5).
  • English: basic, nice to have.
  • On-call, equipment and start date: to be defined with the final team assignment.

What to include in your application

  • Updated CV in Spanish detailing support projects and related technologies.
  • Years of experience in SQL Server, Java/Spring Boot and application support, listed separately.
  • Country of residence, start availability and expected monthly rate.

Selection process

  1. CV review against the must-have requirements.
  2. Technical interview (60 min) with a practical case: SQL diagnosis and Java code reading.
  3. Final interview with the team lead.
